Soul Chrysalis Counseling
Jen Monette-Bethune, MA, LMHCA
The chrysalis is a place where our deepest gifts reside until they feel safe enough to emerge.
I offer therapy for people looking to heal past trauma, explore their identity, create stability in their relationships, tap into their creativity, and live into their fullest expression.
I attended Antioch University Seattle where I earned my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023. My main area of focus is on trauma-informed work and how we can utilize the pathways of the body for full-system healing.
My training in spiritual and psychedelic integration offers a unique approach to therapy where we utilize non-linear, imaginative, and body-based methods to contact and develop relationship with your subconscious mind.

In my free time I enjoy dancing, making and performing music, hanging with my cat Pantalaimon, reading fantasy novels, and experiencing art all over the world.

Individual Telehealth Therapy
Are you looking to do holistic body-centered healing?

Trauma Informed
I utilize gentle, slow methods to tending to how events of the past may be impacting you currently. I integrate attachment, IFS, psychodynamic, and polyvagal theories into this work.

Intuitive
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and I do not pretend to have all the answers. Together we will learn to identify, respect, and attune to your inner healer - the part of you that holds your deepest questions, that has resources, answers, and is perhaps even connected to spiritual and creative allies.

Anti-Oppression
Our bodies and psyches are deeply impacted by the systems around us. I am committed to uncovering and addressing my own biases, making this work accessible and effective to those who need it, as well as creating a practice that continually works towards antiracist, anti-ableist, non-heteronormative, trans-affirming, sex-work allied care. Black lives matter. Sex work is work. Both monogamy and ethical non-monogamy are valid approaches to relationships. Trans-women are women. Together, we will look at how systemic oppression has shaped your body and experience of the world and identify the gorgeous, resilient, creative parts that have emerged from this trauma.
